I remember the exact moment.

I was in Dubai, walking past a perfume house I had no business walking into. I was a data scientist. I worked with numbers, pipelines, dashboards. I had a career that made sense on paper. But something pulled me through that door — and the moment the first fragrance hit me, something shifted. It wasn't just a scent. It was a feeling I hadn't felt in years. Alive. Present. Completely myself.

I stood there for a long time.

Back home in India, I had grown up in Hisar — a city that smells of soil and seasons and the particular warmth of a joint family home. Fragrance was never a luxury to us. It was prasad, it was petrichor, it was the attar my elders wore on special mornings. Scent was woven into who we were. But somewhere between engineering college and a corporate career, I had stopped noticing it.

Dubai gave it back to me.

For years after that, I lived two lives. By day, I was building data models for some of the world's largest institutions. By night and on weekends, I was inside perfume houses — learning, blending, asking questions no one expected a technologist to ask. My colleagues thought it was a hobby. I knew it was something else.

What I couldn't shake was this: the fragrances that moved me most were locked behind prices that locked most people out. A scent that makes you feel free, powerful, unapologetically yourself — why should that be a privilege? Why should a person in Hisar, or Patiala, or Sirsa have to choose between a great fragrance and a month's groceries?

That question became World of Perfumers.

I am not a perfumer who stumbled into business. I am not a businessman who discovered fragrance. I am both — and I built this brand precisely at that intersection. Every bottle we create carries the same intention: that the person who wears it feels, even for a moment, completely and unapologetically free.

That is what fragrance did for me in Dubai.
